I wanted to share it.

I hope it helps.

Hi Nuria!
Glad you found what you wanted! I couldn’t tell which set you had decided on, but I just wanted to mention that some of those sets have little magnets that tend to fall out with use. They are tiny and can be swallowed…I know it is hard to tell from Amazon pictures sometimes, but the ones with a solid magnetic backing are awesome:) we have several sets of the Melissa and Doug sets, as well as their numbers

Anyway, just wanted to mention it in case you haven’t seen them physically…

That is a very good point. Those little magnets are particularly dangerous, your child could land in the ER if swallowed. Also those radio button batteries you often find in toys. Our pediatrician specifically mentioned these two items.

Thanks friends,
I have thought about it. It is not so good idea. The only thing that I could do with the letters would be putting on the fridge while we listen to the ABCsong, for instance. I could put letter by letter while we listen… … Ok

Keri, are Melissa and Doug of Amazon?

Nuria,
Melissa and Doug is a really fun company with their own website:

But!
Most of their products are available on Amazon as well. Here are the the letters, as well as a combo pack with numbers!

They are more expensive, but VERY durable! I even put dots ALA Jones Geniuses on then!

I have this alphabet fridge magnet set from leap frog:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000096QNK/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

My one year old really likes them. The magnets are inside the plastic letter so can’t be separated. It’s officially for older than 24 months, but I feel comfortable letting her play with them without too much supervision. I think they’d be pretty hard for her to swallow.

That leapfrog product above also comes in lowercase letters. I also have them and they are VERY strong. In the 5 years or more we have owned them we have not broken even one! We have lost a few though lol
