The country- Hungary… has anyone been there or know anything about it? My husband may have a chance to go there for work, so I was just curious what people know/think about the place. I think we would be in Budapest. Any thoughts? I don’t know how safe it is there, what there is to do, if the weather and food are good, are the people nice, etc. I can and have been researching online, but it’s always nice to get opinions from real people too, know what I mean?

I live in Budapest. It’s safe, no bears on the street, :laugh: People are generally friendly (not very positive though), language difficult. Younger folks speak English or German. There is an expat community though I am not well acquainted with it. The country is in financial crisis now, so it’s a bit gloomy.
