How to type special characters - Umlauts

OK, I am trying to edit the English curriculum into the Seneca language and trying to figure out how to type umlauts and other special characters. Thank you.

Hello puzzlemelody!

Windows uses alt key numeric codes if you want to type in accented letters and special characters.
Here’s a link to a guide: http://symbolcodes.tlt.psu.edu/accents/codealt.html

I hope this helps!

Whereabouts do you want to use this character, in a URL or in the content of a page?

In the content it’s easy enough, just paste it in from either Character Map (Windows) or the Special Characters window (Mac, typically found under the Edit menu). You can do this because all Squarespace sites are delivered as UTF-8, and it supports extended characters without you needing to do anything.
