Hi Sapna,

Welcome!

As for how to use flash cards, please see if this will help:

As for how to teach your baby to read, including YBCR (Your Baby Can Read), see the following link (and note in particular the ‘multisensory’ method):

Lastly, of course, do check out our Little Reader software, which combines several methods:

Hope that helps!

Hi Sapna,

I know how tough it is to teach something to our children. Its fustrating if they don’t listen or run about. I have two of my own!!

But don’t be dis-heartened. Remember the first rule: its important to have fun (both the kids and the parents). Once your child sees that the activities are enjoyable for you and him he’ll be eager to participate.

hi and welcome to the forums! Please feel free to read some past posts; I think you will find a lot of information to help you. The Little Reader program is a wonderful learning tool that you should try.

Please go here. KL explains it for you.

Hi Sapna! I’m very happy to see you in the forums!

As you can see, many of the parents here are very eager to help you out with any questions you may have, and we also have experts to guide you along your adventures of teaching your little one. I understand that teaching can sometimes feel frustrating, especially when your baby doesn’t seem to pay any attention to the lessons. But not to worry, your baby will eventually love to learn as soon as he finds out how entertaining your lessons can be!

There are many methods and schools of thought about ways to teach little children, but most of them stem from a small handful of fundamentals:

  • The younger the child is, the easier it is to learn
  • Babies are born with an innate love for learning
  • Teaching should never be forced
  • Play is essential
  • Relax and have fun!

If you would like to get an introduction to teaching your baby, I would highly recommend an article written by our BrillBaby Editor, Maddy:
BABY INTELLIGENCE: THE WHYS, HOWS AND WHEREFORES

I hope to see more of you in the forums, and don’t hesitate to ask any one of us if you need help!

Cheers,

Lappy
