I am parent to a cute three year old. Would like to invoke some musical interest in him, though he has affinity towards reading. Hope to share and learn through this forum.

Hi,
if you want to get your lo interested in music, make sure you play a lot of music around and have xylophone or piano around which they can play on. a toy piano is an absolutely great choice.
play the same music always, so not too many different pieces. but you can experiment with genres, like classical or pop, rock, etc. whatever you like.
when you figure out what he/she likes, play pieces you can play yourself. but only very short tunes. show how it’s done. show it often until he/she plays it. might play it when you are not there, but the instrument must be always available for the child! it’s theirs!
