I wonder if EL was ever portrayed on movies. Do you people know a “common” movie in which EL was shown?
I’m not talking about documentaries and neither EL as main subject.

I was fascinated by the book Matilda as a child (by Roald Dahl) but never did I dream I would have my own little “Matilda.” lol They later turned it into a movie although the book was better. There was no “training” involved, her parents were just vile and prized television instead. Her character was just a natural precocious reader at 3 or 4 years old IIRC. As a fellow bookworm, I was so captivated by the book although I knew it was impossible for a child that young to be able to read.
That’s the only one I know of.
In the movie Parenthood Rick Moranis’ character uses EL with his daughter.
The movie Meet the Fockers, was beginning of worldwide exposure for Baby Sign Language for hearing babies.
Thank you. Your suggestions are all inn my list now.
I remember that one
I’ve already seen all those movies, a long time ago. But now I want to see Parenthood again since I was a kid when I watched.
I’ve been too worried about whether “Meet the Robinsons” qualifies as an EL movie, but hey, we’re brainstorming. Louis is definitely a gifted kid that needed very special parents, and when he gets them they help him change the future for the better. It’s a favorite at our house- it reminds me to put up with my kids “experiments”, especially Peter my oldest.
