Easy Readers with Big Fonts

My son is still pretty young, and I have been struggling to find easy readers with large enough font. We have flash cards, but he likes books better. I made him a photobook with pictures of him and large captions. Also, I just ordered the Preschool Prep Sight Words books, since those seem decent. The BOB books seem to have small type. A lot of the easy reader sets I see on Amazon don’t have sample pages, so I can’t tell if they are large enough. Has anyone used these? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0545231493/ref=s9_simh_se_p14_d0_i4?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=auto-no-results-center-1&pf_rd_r=1Q0GZG05XESGH4WFD2SJ&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1263465782&pf_rd_i=starfapp

The Dick and Jane readers have large font.

Thank you so much! I was able to find those at Barnes and Noble online pretty inexpensively. For some reason they are more expensive in the store.

I have also discovered the Acorn books from the library. You can purchase them at the following link, but since it would add up so quickly I will stick to borrowing them from the library.

Yeah…going from those nice little Ready Set Go books to the Acorn books is a BIG price difference! Thanks for sharing the links. Some to buy…some to ask the library to get in

I have a French set of those scholastic readers you provided a link for. If they are the same as the French the font is the same size as the BOB books but much clearer print and better spacing between the words.

Here is a sample of what those books look like. I personally love I See Sam books, but the print might be a touch to small for your LO

Kizudo - Yes, it is a huge jump! However, you can find them in paperback for about $5 each. Still more than I want to spend with the rate we look through books!

Waterdreamer - Thank you so much! I think those will be a great next stage. I will also keep I See Sam in mind when I do my future hunting.

Do you have a link for these Ready Set Go Books?

Here is the link to the first set from Barnes and Noble. They have the other sets too, but the third is divided for some reason.

A librarian also recommended Pebble books. Once again they are intended for libraries, so pricey, but you can find slightly cheaper paperbacks. They also have bilingual books. I will have to watch ebay for them.
