Do you allow your kids to watch TV

i Dont allow my kid to watch TV at this very tender age, i agree that we shd move with technology, even i stopped watching TV afetr his birth he is now just 7 mmnths …

We do not own TV, and never watched TV around the kids. Our kids are 5.5, 4 and 1.5, and they come up with so many fun games and activities to do, they love reading books ( literally for hours and hours) and are very physically active.

We show them short educational videos each day, but it does not take that much time, and we only show videos with high educational content, not for the sake of watching but rather as an aid in learning.

Yes they must watch little bit.

I think your view is good, but if we can offer some limited time to show the baby some lively channal, maybe it is good for she.

I dont allow my 9 months old son to watch TV, as I think its very bad for the vision to watch TV in early ears

TV for Kids - That’s a debatable ! , Studies say 30mins of TV time is okay for toddlers… however “TV and a lone kid” is a NO-NO to me. Make sure to be with your kiddo and choose them specifically on what to be seen for that TV time. Watch out for Ads …ensure what is being watched is child friendly (there may be handful of fruitful programs) and doesn’t drive them in any unhealthy way.
Happy Learning !

I do make my LO to watch TV of rhymes and any cartoon series. Most of the time he would like to watch rhymes channel.

I try my best to keep my kids engaged in extra curricular and co curricular activities so that they don’t get so much time for watching tv. I also try to develop their interest in reading books other than their courses which is much beneficial for them as compared to watching TV.

I only allow my kids to watch TV when I’m around. Usually I play games with them and mostly physical not games on phones or tablets.
My plan is to create a good environment for kids to play because I don’t want them to always play far from the house where I can’t see them. It’s getting dangerous due to many rowdy drivers passing by. My plan is to buy a trampoline and put it beside our house. I’m going to put at the back of my house so that they will be under the shade of our trees.

What you said is exactly right. Children must be allowed to watch TV at the right time only and we must be careful in what they are watching. Chances are there for the kids to become an addict for cartoons. Try to avoid that.

I allow but usually not longer than 30-45 min. The big rule in our house though is the language. To assure the exposition to the target language we do not watch TV in the local language. My son is 5 and can perfectly speak for his age two languages.

I only allow my kid (5 years old) to watch TV/youtube on the iPad if he has been very good or achieves something. I hope he’ll understand that watching TV is not something regularly to do, but more as a form of a treat after hard ‘working’.
