Conscious autosuggestion for children

I’m a big believer in the Coué method, from the French chemist who made positive thinking and auto-suggestion known to the public more than 100 years ago. (The famous “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better” mantra.)

I recently read he advised parents to whisper positive thoughts to the children as they were asleep. Things such as 'You are clean and use the potty every time" lol or “You are strong and healthy” (if the child is unwell).

Have you ever used something similar with your children?

Thanks fro that.

No I have not used it but what a great suggestion.

I will look over the wiki file right now.

Very interesting! I’ll have to read into that when I get home.

i always use positive world to E, to persuade and to make her feel positive plus to give her self confidence. positive talking will create better and lovingly environment where any thing can be discuss but learn to respect other’s feeling. i always do promote positive worlds and it works much easily

Since I was pregnant with my daughter, my husband used to read to her and them tell her she was happy, helathy and smart! So far I can say she is all of them  Also, we always have a phrase on the refrigerator with a good adjective. For example this week we have up “Valerie is assured”. We try to change it every week (sometimes every two  ). I’m not at my computer right now, but I’ll post a list of words next week for whoever is interested.

We tried to talk to her while she was sleeping, but we would just wake her up, so we gave in on that
