I recently read somewhere that colour can affect our moods greatly. I would like to paint my daughter’s play room and I was wondering what colour to do it in. Especially one that enhances learning? Any Ideas?
I’m not sure about which colors would enhance learning, other than the contrasting black/white and red/white, but I recommend bright colors. Bright colors are happy and cheerful, and they are visually stimulating for a baby to look at. I see some of the drab pastels and neutral colors of some of the nursery sets, and I wonder what some people are thinking? Babies don’t want to look at that. They want to see colors and patterns! Give them something to look at and want to touch! Gabriel’s room is painted in a bright sky blue, and I have a bug wall border w/ matching stickers on the walls and curtains. All of that is bright pastels. I have also thrown some frogs in the mix, and he has a bug quilt and diaper holder made by my grandma. The shelving and toy boxes are done in primary colors to add more color to the room. It is very cute and bright!

I have gone and visited those sights you recommneded Ayesha Nicole. I have been thinking of doing a purple feature wall in the play room. So it was good to know that it enhances creativity.
