I have been exposing Chinese to my child for a while. We use LR and a few other tools such as ipad apps, winktolearn… I really love to show her some Chinese songs as well. If anyone knows any great Chinese songs on youtube, please share I would be very appreciated. Since I don’t speak that language, it is kind of hard for me. I can find some but they are not really in good quality. Well, not just songs, any educational videos on youtube for teaching Chinese would be great. Thanks alot everyone.

This playlist compliments my 9 year old daughter’s Chinese class at school, but they are very excellent resources. There are several songs in their that my daughter’s native Chinese teachers have the children sing in class. Apart from this you can also look into this “reading pen” which is a tag reading system like the leapfrog tag reading pen for a variety. But I don’t have the links to those you may have to dig around the web to find it.

Just found Fun Fun Elmo, an educational program geared toward teaching young children mandarin. There are currently 13 episodes with plans for more in the future.

Edit~ IrisGranstedt Thank You so much for the baby learn Chinese link. I just purchased the phonic box set. I’ve seen their products but never got around to purchasing any. I am so excited and hopeful that he will pick up the Chinese phonics the same as he has done for English.
