Can DADs be as good teachers as Mothers?

I am being optimistic and I think I can do good…

Let me know if I am right?

OF COURSE THEY CAN!!

Any parent who is interested and enthusiastic can be a wonderful teacher. The fact that you are asking such a question i think shows your commitment to your child. I think that your child is very lucky to have you as their father because it is already apparent how much you love your child.

Good luck, read through the forum get lots of ideas!

that depends upon the wiliness and the patience. when talking about mothers teaching they are talking about parents i think. the other thing is mothers are known to their patience. dads can do teach much better than a mom if he is that willing. mom or dad or sister dose not make the difference it is the eagerness and understanding

I think so! But then, I’m a bit biased…

Welcome, fellow-dad!

The key is patience and make it enjoyable for them. They shouldn’t be forced. It should be so fun they want to do it. So, you have to be creative and think of ways to make it fun. Learning through playing. I think they all love music. So learning through songs is also a very good idea. I think Learning from a variety of inputs is also a good idea. If you are studying animals take them to the zoo etc.

Y not.sum of the dads hve done a great job on their little girls and boys.yea they face dificulties too but a dad can do the same things as mothers does.i belive like this.

I truly belive we can , with love, commitment and hard work from our part all is possible.

Sebastián,

Dear Dad to Be,

Certainly! In fact, the program How to Teach Your Baby to Read, as created by Mr. Glenn Doman and his team of specialists at IAHP. Also, another program, Your Baby Can Read, was created by Dr. Robert Titzer, and to some extent is based on Mr. Doman’s. Also, Dr. Scichida of Japan, has 450+ schools in his name for his teaching methods.

I do know that Dr. Titzer taught his child read and then offered the program to all parents.

Parents who teach with love and joy, are the ones that are successful, regardless of gender.

the influence a dad has on his kids life must not be taken for granted. moms are naturally focused on the kids but imagine a home where dad is just as enthusiastic! thats def a breeding ground for little einsteins.
i remember reading a study where kids growing up in a single male household faired better emotionally than in a single mom household (sorry moms but the guys got 1 up on us in this study)

men can give a child the confidence they need in a subtle way, without even trying. a confident child will be able to learn anything so do your best with your kids!
karma to u

Absolutely! The desire to do what is best for you child is your greatest asset.

Definite, in fact there are dad who are better than moms, like Kyle’s
His dad taught him to turn pages by the time Kyle turned 8 months!!!
Still he proves to be a better teacher than a dad!

Yes, my son remembers everything his dad points out - sometimes I get so mad as he puts so little into it and I seem to spend so much time and energy and it doesn’t always show… They have an amazing impact on their kids, if they only knew it!!!
