I’m not too familiar with the math. I started teaching my daughter how to read when she was 1 and a half. Now I’m regretting not starting the math with her then. I didn’t have much info on the doman math program. Anyone know if it’s too late for a 4 year old to learn math with the dots?
Hi raindrop lila,
I’m not sure of the dots. But i can suggest you to start teaching him maths using chinese method or u can start teaching multiplication using fingers, teach him addition etc. You can have a look into youtube videos for multiplication tables rhymes, multiply using fingers etc…
May be dotcards with dots placed in grids can help.Thats what i heard
Hi Raindrop,
You should try shichida math methods or you can buy tweedlewink dvds. Tweedlewink teaches upto 5 year old child. you can buy just the math dvd from their store if you want only math. else you can buy entire set.
where do i get details on the doman method of teaching?
Jayashri,

raindrop lila,
I am afraid it’s too late for Doman’s dots…
there are other ways though, check “teaching the older child” part of the forum and plus search Kumon
vanichezhiyan,
what is the Chinese method?
Has anyone used the Tweedle Wink Math program? How do your kid like it? I would LOVE to teach my 4 year old math.
I wouldn’t recommend it for a 4 year old. Unless he really likes dots.

As for kids of two years and elder there’s a method called Monteiro method…
Its awesome isn’t it, especially the kids who compute using an imaginary abacus…! I wonder how they do it!
Woooww! I am very impresed with these kids!!!
I wonder how easy is to learn to use the abacus.
