BrillKids on IPAD or Mac

Can you load the full Brill Kids program onto the ipad.
I understand you can make changes and add in words and photos using BrillKids on the desktop, Can you transfer these additions to the ipad.

Also is it possible to get the trial on a MAC computer?

Thanks
Kylie

Hi Kylie,

First off, please note that all BrillKids software (Little Reader, Little Math and Little Musician) are only compatible with Windows-based computers. For details about this, see: http://support.brillkids.com/entries/20349238-Will-BrillKids-software-work-for-Mac-OS-users-

We do have several users who reported success in running our software by installing Windows on their Macs via Boot Camp, Parallels or other similar software, and they have been using our programs on Mac computers for some time now. For more information about Boot Camp, see: http://www.apple.com/findouthow/mac/#windowsmac

For instructions on how to set up Boot Camp, you may refer to any of these links:

Once you have Windows running in your Mac, you’ll be able to download and install the Little Reader / Little Math / Little Musician trial. In case you do have a spare Windows PC, you may want to do the trial on the PC first so you can see how our programs work before investing your time and resources on the Mac workaround.

Full lesson customization is only available in the PC software - this includes adding in your own words, lesson categories, and media files (pictures, videos, or recordings).

Our iPad app (Little Reader Touch) does not support customized content - you may only download and play lessons as they are provided from the app’s Download Lessons screen. Accessing full Little Reader curricula in the app requires a Little Reader (PC) license key and iAccess, which are sold separately.

The Little Reader Touch app itself can be downloaded for free from the App Store or through iTunes, and it comes with some sample lessons so you can try it out.

At the moment we don’t have apps for Little Math and Little Musician.

I hope this information helps!

Hi,

I have just bought the deluxe kit yesterday. Am just wondering if I get the Little Reader iPad kit, will the programs found on PC be the same on the iPad program as well?

Thanks.

Hi Casteres,

I’d like to clarify that we don’t have a “Little Reader iPad kit” - what we have is an app called “Little Reader Touch,” and you may download the app for free from the App Store or through iTunes. Our app supports iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, accessing the Little Reader curriculum from the app requires a Little Reader (PC) license key and iAccess. iAccess works like a switch which allows you to download and play the Little Reader curriculum you bought using the Little Reader Touch app. In your case, you already have a Little Reader license key for the English curriculum (this came with your Deluxe kit), so the only extra purchase you need is iAccess.

You can buy iAccess from our online store: https://user.brillkids.com/onlinestore/lrt-iaccess.php

Once you buy iAccess, you may start downloading your curriculum lessons in the Little Reader Touch app. For detailed instructions on how to enable iAccess, you may refer to this article: http://support.brillkids.com/entries/21268593-how-to-enable-iaccess-in-little-reader-touch

The English curriculum you’ll get on the app is the same as the curriculum you have on the Little Reader PC software.

Hi,
Thanks a lot on the info. I have the Chinese version as well. Do I need a separate iAccess for the Chinese version or 1 iAccess I can also download the Chinese curriculums?

iAccess is a one-time purchase - once you buy it, the Little Reader Touch app’s downloads which correspond with your Little Reader (PC) English and Chinese license keys will be unlocked automatically.

If you buy other Little Reader language curricula later on (like French, Spanish, etc.), you don’t need to buy iAccess again. You’ll have automatic access to those course downloads as soon as the files are available in the Little Reader Touch app.
