Hi, I’ve recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. The specialist is prescribing me with Carbimazole and he advised that 2 tablets should be fine for breastfeeding. Anyway, to play safe, I was thinking of giving up breastfeeding, just in case the trace of Carbimazoled gets to the milk and passes to my baby. To be frank, I am not ready to do wean my baby just yet as I was initially planning to breastfeed her till 2 years of age. Does anyone have the same problem? Would love to hear from you.
