Bible bits of intelligence?

I noticed there are a few Christian mothers on here. I’m trying to make my own EK flash cards for Bible knowledge. I found this website for beautiful pictures of places in the Bible: http://www.bibleplaces.com/
I’m also going to make cards for nature and science. Maybe even pictures of Biblical people. Has anyone tried this?

We are making Bible EK course in Little Reader. We have just started, but are on course of creating Bible people, places, events, miracles, books and history  I ve been doing that with physical cards, but it is so much easier to do it in Little Reader, and now with the new options of creating your own course, it makes it so easy to not just present EK sets, but also put them together in a course with review cycles!

I’ve been doing it with geography and now working on chemistry, US states and Bible EK. With Bible EK we just starting, but we can always collaborate. So if anyone is interested in collaborating, let me know and we can see how we can do it together. The awesome thing about doing it in LR, is that

  1. we can all share it super easily
  2. We can collaborate on making the categories and sets
  3. we can make it available to many others
  4. it is possible to print out the sets from LR if needed
  5. easy to organize in course and review cycle

Have you already subscribed to the bibleplaces site?

Wow! That’s a neat resource, thank you for sharing!

We have most definitely incorporated scriptures into our bits. This is my go-to resource. (I’m LDS). Feel free to browse past the Book of Mormon pictures if that’s not your thing. Old and New Testament is what you are looking for.

The Gospel Art book is a beautiful resource, and it’s cheap! You can’t print full-color images for this price. I just thumbed through it. The first 66 images are bible based, the rest are more unique to Mormon theology. If anything, they could be used for a unit study on what Mormons believe. I found 4 bible pictures that may not be universal Christian interpretations. One is the city of Zion taken up (unique to Mormonism), the other 3 regarding the administration of the Priesthood. Just trying to give a full disclaimer so there are no surprises. The rest are straightforward. A man in a lions den. Noah’s ark. The woman at the well. My favorite is Mary praying with the Christ child. Many of the paintings were not done by LDS artists so you may be familiar with them. We love this book and use it often.

Thank you both! I just used the free pictures on the site. I just got the idea yesterday and printed and laminated 10 pictures. It took a lot of time because the images were such a high resolution that they printed slowly. I think I’ll make them on my Little Reader next times. It will for sure save money.

I made my bits before LR came about. If you want to use them feel free to PM me.

NOt sure it went through, but I sent you a PM, Mandy! That would be awesome.

This is the fourth time I am trying to reply to you. Hope it works. Just email me at mandy . Jacob @ inkorpa . com . Sorry, can’t figure the glitch out…

Mandy, I would love the bits of intelligence as well.
Skylark, how far are you in the Bible EK course. Is any of it inthe shared library yet, so I can download it and start showing it?

Juli,

I just started putting it into LR. I will upload my first categories soon. I am traveling at the moment visiting a family member in the hospital, and my internet time is very limited, but in a few days things would look better

If anyone would like to help adding some pictures to the Bible EK categories, we probably can make it faster. What I usually do is check for free Bible art on the internet, some website offer free images, also you can find things on Wiki commons, etc. I am just doing it little by little as time permits.

The structure I am working with

People Old Testament
People New Testament
Places
Events OT
Events NT
Books of the Bible
Memory Scriptures
Trivia

Mandi, I sent you a message, hope you got it!
