Best Way to Present Shapes on Flashcards

I want to make my baby some flashcards of basic and advanced shapes. What is the best way to represent a shape? Should it be the hollow outline, filled in, black or other color?

I made my shapes out of solid colors on a white background. But my daughter is not very interested in them. I think they are too simple compared to looking at some other set of cards, such as Da Vinci paintings.

I would say there is no right or wrong way. I would present them all. The more variety, the better.
