Before Five in a Row

Hi,

I’m looking to purchase Before Five in a Row or at least borrow it for a month. The neighboring libraries where I am do not carry it, and the price it’s going for is above my budget, since I have to get the supplemental books that go with it as well.

Does anyone have a copy that I can borrow, or would like to sell for a reasonable price? I am currently in NJ, and will ship it back, after a month if borrowing. Any books that goes with it is also welcome, if you like to sell that as well.

Will really appreciate it, if anyone knows or can point me in the right direction where I can possibly get my hands on it

Thanks in advance.

Good luck!

Ask your librarian about interlibrary loans. I found Before Five in a Row by Jane Claire Lambert in the WorldCat catalog listed at several libraries across the country. I have borrowed from this source several times and have never been charged shipping when borrowing from another library in the USA. Good luck!

P.S. There are lots of good finds on WorldCat!

Thank you soo much for the replies… I have yet to try out the interlibrary loan. I mean, I have looked and none of the libraries in my area seem to be carrying it, maybe, they can expand their search…
TeachingMyToddlers, thank you for the links, appreciate it =)

Hi LH! I second the suggestion on trying an interlibrary loan. I’m known in our local library for these requests as it doesn’t carry any of the early learning books suggested in this forum!

And may I also suggest that you try a few lessons out first before you buy all the accompanying books? Some mommies love the book, I didn’t. I found it to be very basic and that I could get some very good book ideas through searching blog StArt entries (free and with books I already owned). I’m glad it was through a borrowing situation that I learned that. Oh, and not all the StArt entries are Art - many are science, geography or even math related.

Thanks Kizudo… that’s what I’m worried about, that I will invest in it and then wont like it. Can you send me a link to the blog? I can’t seem to find it, or at least it doesn’t seem like the right one.

Can someone give me an idea with the kind of lessons or at least first lesson with a book Goodnight Moon. I have that book and so will know if my son or I like the layout. I am running out of time, and will be heading back to Bahrain in weeks, so am very anxious to get my hands on the book.

This is also a great spot to find book extension ideas. They often have a few crafts or games for each book and links to other websites/youtube videos to expand on the knowledge/theme of the book (I just skimmed one that linked to National Geog.).

stART link: http://www.amommysadventures.com/p/start.html
stART is not a website. It is a category - many bloggers use this as a way of sorting all their ideas of book extensions into one place. As you surf around the blogs many will have this as one of their menu items or you can do an internal search on that particular blog for it. This is ONE site that will lead you to others.
If you follow this link, open a link to any story and scroll down through their idea you’ll find other bloggers with their links to additional books. Most of the ideas are art/craft related but you will also find some ideas related to science/math/social.

If I remember correctly Krista (MonkiSee MonkiDoo) has a copy of it (or has used it) - if you PM her I’m sure she’d give you her thoughts or, if she does have it, she may scan a page or two to show you.

thanks Kizudo! ur the best =)

Awesome links, Kizudo! We are doing A House for a Hermit Crab right now. Thanks a million!
