Anyone teaching Italian?

I’d like to know what are you using to teach your baby Italian and how are you doing it?

I’ve ordered Little Pim yesterday, what else would you recommend?

Hi, I am also SUPER keen to hear about how to teach my baby Italian and English together! I have seen that people interchange the flashcards - some words in English and others in Italian. This teaches the child both languages - so for example you may have flash cards saying Mommy, Daddy, Bocca (mouth), eyes, Naso (nose)

Any other tips would be much appreciated.

Did you see the additional tips on the little pim website? I think that’s a lot of the tips you may be looking for?

Joanna07,

The first question would be if you speak Italian. This will definetly make a difference on what you can do.

I’m not teaching Italian, but Spanish. This link may give you some ideas about teaching methods when teaching a second language:

You can also look use the Italian files that are uploaded here. I’m not sure if you have LR, but most of the files are LR files. There are only 4 pp.

I’m teaching my daughter Mandarin (exposing may be the right words since I don’t speak it lol ). I use Litttle Pim and also I got the Pimsleur CD’s. I just started to play it right after she goes to bed to try the technique of learning while sleeping. Each lesson is about 30 minutes long. They are only $9.99 so it is a good start. They have the whole series, which is much more expensive, but I want to see first the quality of their products.

Hope this helps!

ed, great song, thanks  I will look for more songs like this one on youtube, can you recommend a few, please

Joha, I speak Italian, it’s not perfect but good enough to have short conversation. I have LR, just purchased it few days ago and love it, will upload Italian files and make them myself.

I would also like to teach my son Spanish and Japanese. I’d like to learn Japanese myself, I will learn it with Kaietan I hope
