We are considering enrolling our daughter in a Montessori school but I still have many doubts and questions - is there any montessori teacher here that could pls share a little bit of time with me to answer some questions?

We are also considering enrolling our daughter in a Montessori school. In my research I have found a big variation between different Montessori schools. Some are accredited, others are not. Some have very qualified teachers, others do not. Some teach other languages, others do not. Age range and focus also seems to vary. I myself am now in the process of visiting and interviewing the specific Montessori schools in my area that I may consider. I would also love to hear the perspective of Montessori teachers, if there are any on this board. But I would also suggest that you set up visits with your local Montessori schools and ask them your questions directly. Best of luck!

I agree with laughingwater about visiting the Montessori schools in your area and asking them your questions as you may find that each school is different. I went to a Montessori school for three years and now that I have a son who is ready for preschool I have learned a lot/understood more about the Montessori way (through reading books) but I still need to visit the school and bring my son along to make sure that they match (their approach and how my son learns) and that I know each school’s policy as to how a child qualifies for advancement to the next level, etc.
